Howick Community Church, situated in the Midlands village of Howick, Kwazulu Natal, is a member of the Baptist Union of South Africa.
We are a fellowship of some 400 people, are multiracial and multidenominational, with a strong evangelical ethos holding to the Bible as the Word of God and Jesus Christ alone as Lord and Saviour of humankind.
Following a break in ministry, during which time Denzil completed a MTh at Stellenbosch, Denzil and Heather moved to Howick in September 2006 where Denzil took up the responsibility of Senior Pastor of the Howick Community Church.

We understand our Biblical mandate to include bringing people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and then discipling them to live as citizens of the Kingdom of God on earth. As such our desire is to see our community and country transformed as His standards are lived out by our membership. Howick Community Church is highly dependant upon the many people who add to the daily running of ministries, events and outreaches and we are most grateful to all those who have joined in and made themselves available for God to use them. Here are the people who fulfill those roles necessary for the day to day running of our church. The Church appoints to the office of Elders such men, who are recognised as being gifted by the Holy Spirit, and who satisfy requirements as recorded in the letters to Timothy and Titus. Elders are Church members who will be mature and have a good standing in the Faith. Their main role is to give Spiritual support and assistance to the pastors of the Church. The deacons, who are not usually employees of the Church, are elected from amongst the membership after having given evidence of their faith in Christ and conformity to the lifestyle envisaged in 1 Tim. Their role in the Church is to provide spiritual support to the Pastors and Elders in the exercise of their respective Ministries, together with overseeing a specific function pertaining to the smooth running of the Church i.e. Deacons are elected for a 2 year term of service and, together with the Pastors and Elders, form the Executive Committee of the Church. The mission is this: to love God, to love one another, and to go out into all the world proclaiming the name of JESUS. Lindi is very involved with the evening service with sound, PC and worship. Lindi matriculated from Howick High in 2015 and is currently studying with the Baptist Theological College. Jess matriculated from Howick High in 2015 and is currently studying with the Baptist Theological College. Jess’s hope for her future is to teach and to use; her skills learnt in the field of youth work, her passion for the Lord and her love for children to go into full time teaching. The aim of Junior Youth is to invite children from the community to the church and introduce them to God in a fun and exciting way. Our goal is for individual, personal and spiritual growth in the lives of those who attend. Our team is headed by Jess Fuller, Shari Cade and Murray Tessendorf and we have a team of enthusiastic and God fearing teens who have dedicated each of their Friday evenings to coming through and assisting with each weeks program. We have a great time getting to know one another, but most of all, getting to know our Lord Jesus Christ, as our own personal friend and Saviour. We want to encourage kids to take a closer look at God and to have a close relationship with Him as their Heavenly Father. Most of all, to take what we learn, and spread it to the Howick Community to bring others to know Him.
